What’s open and closed in Belleville this Family Day

Monday, Feb. 19 is Family Day, a statutory holiday that will affect some municipal services and store hours. Here’s what you need to know in Belleville. Do you know of something that should be added to this list? Email hollie@hometownist.com.

RETAIL

  • Walmart will be closed
  • McDowell’s Your Independent Grocer will be closed
  • Food Basics will be closed
  • Metro will be closed
  • Both Giant Tiger locations at Bridge Street West and the Millennium Parkway will be closed
  • The Quinte Mall will be closed
  • All LCBO and all Beer Store locations will be closed
  • Most Shoppers Drug Mart locations will be open throughout the weekend for regular hours, but some may vary. Click here to search store hours in Belleville.
  • The Dundas Square Rexall will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

MUNICIPAL AND LEISURE SERVICES

  • City Hall will be closed
  • The Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre will run on a special schedule Feb. 19. Pre-registration is required and spaces fill quickly. For more information and to register, visit: QSWC.ca.
  • Regular transit and mobility transit will NOT run Feb. 19.
  • The leaf and yard waste depot is closed for the season
  • Thurlow Landfill – No change to regular public hours.
  • Glanmore National Historic Site – Closed Feb. 19.
  • Belleville Public Library – Closed Feb. 19.
  • Community Archives – Closed Feb. 17 to 19.

There will be no changes to curbside garbage, green bin, recycling and bulky items collection.
