UPDATE: Quinte West OPP seek information in fatal collision on Highway 2

Police in Quinte West are continuing to investigate a fatal collision that took place on Saturday, Jan. 20, and are now seeking the public’s assistance in this matter.

In a media release, police state that on Jan. 20, at approximately 10:45 a.m., officers with Quinte West OPP, along side Quinte West firefighters and the Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 2, just west of Boulton Road in Quinte West.

The driver of a sedan, an 80-year-old man from Brighton, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A 40-year-old man from Quinte West, who had been driving a pick-up, was transported to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
