Gordon Deline, a 53-year-old resident of Trenton, is celebrating a significant win after securing the top prize of $250,000 in the Instant Crossword Deluxe lottery game.

Deline, who has been a consistent participant in various lottery games over the past five years, expressed his excitement during a visit to the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings.

“My favorite games are INSTANT CROSSWORD and BINGO. I love the entertainment,” he remarked, adding, “This is my first big win!”

Reflecting on his initial reaction to the win, Deline admitted to some confusion and shock regarding the exact amount he had won. “I thought I won $25,000 and I was so excited. I scanned it on the OLG app, and I lost my breath – it was a real shocker,” he recounted. “I was shaking with excitement. I was happy with a smaller win but this one was next level.”

Deline plans to use a portion of his winnings to fulfill obligations, purchase a new vehicle then invest the remainder.

The Instant Crossword Deluxe game, which costs $10 per play, offers a top prize of $250,000, with odds of winning any prize standing at 1 in 3.46.

Deline’s winning ticket was purchased at New Way Convenience, located on Dundas Street in Belleville.
