Stabbing in Belleville has police looking for witnesses, suspect(s)

Belleville police are looking for witnesses after a scantily-clad young man was stabbed by an unknown suspect on Monday evening.

Police state that on Monday, June 10, just after 9 p.m., Belleville police and paramedics attended the area of Wallbridge Crescent and Frank Street for a report of a victim who was bleeding and wearing nothing but underwear.

The victim, a 22-year-old mman from Belleville, told officers that he had been stabbed with a knife by an unknown suspect. He was transported to Kingston General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and was released later in the morning from the hospital.

A section of Frank Street near the tunnel was for a short period of time while members of the Belleville Police Forensic Identification Section processed the area.

Police are continuing the investigation.
