Quinte West resident facing weapons charge following traffic stop on Glen Miller Road

A Quinte West resident has been charged by OPP following a traffic stop on Glen Miller Road.

Quinte West OPP state that on Sept. 30, at approximately 1 a.m., an officer was patrolling Glen Miller Road, Trenton, when a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation.

An investigation led to the driver being arrested and two weapons being recovered, according to police.

Liam Murray, 27 years old, from Quinte West, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon – Two counts – Criminal Code
  • Driving while under suspension – Highway Traffic Act

Charges have not been proven in court.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on November 2, 2023.
