Quinte West OPP looking to identify suspect in stolen truck investigation

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the theft of a motor vehicle.

In a media release, police say that on Feb. 11, Quinte West OPP discovered a stolen truck along Frankford-Stirling Road in Quinte West. According to the investigation, at approximately 7:30 a.m. on that day, a male suspect drove the vehicle into a ditch, rendering it immobile. The suspect then sought assistance and was observed receiving a lift from a black pick-up truck near the area of Sagers Corners.

Police are now seeking public assistance in identifying the individual involved. The suspect is described as a white male with a medium build, aged approximately between 25 to 35 years. He was reportedly wearing red pants with a white stripe down the side, along with a grey or dark jacket featuring a white logo on the left arm.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the individual(s) responsible is urged to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.
