Quinte West man facing many drug-related charges following search warrant in Trenton

Today, (April 16) Quinte West OPP charged a local individual following the execution of a search warrant.

In a media release, police say that at approximately 6 a.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence on O’Neil Crescent, Trenton, as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

As a result, an individual was arrested resulting in many items being confiscated, including a firearm, cash, ammunition, suspected cocaine, oxycodone, MDMA (ecstasy), amphetamine, psilocybin (mushrooms) and other items allegedly related to drug trafficking.

Michael Bolger, 43, from Quinte West was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
  • Careless storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
  • Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – in Canada
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)

Charges have not been proven in court.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
