Prince Edward County resident charged with impaired after reports of ‘erratic’ driving

A Prince Edward County resident has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic complaint was made just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4.

At that time, officers with the local OPP detachment were called to an incident just east of Demorestville, in the area of County Road 15 and Foster Road for a complaint of a vehicle was being “driven in an erratic manner,” OPP say in a media release.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop; their investigation led to the driver being arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result, Jesse Frost, 36, of Prince Edward County has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Charges have not been proven in court.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on June 26.

The accused’s licence is suspended for 90 days and vehicle was impounded for seven day.
