Police called to father/son fight at Belleville construction site

The Belleville Police Service was called to a construction site fight on Tuesday, March 19.

Police report that at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to reports of a disturbance at a construction site in the east end of the city. The altercation allegedly involved two employees who were engaged in a physical fight.

Upon arrival, police interviewed the site supervisor and those involved in the incident.

According to police, a 40-year-old man from Oshawa and his 18-year-old son, also from Oshawa, were both working at the site when a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation. Following an investigation into the matter, the father was cautioned regarding an assault.

To ensure the safety of both parties, police assisted the son in arranging transportation back to Oshawa for the evening, allowing them to avoid travelling together. No further police action was deemed necessary in relation to the incident.
