Picton gears up for tree lighting event, road closures expected

Picton is gearing up for its annual Holiday Tree Lighting and Procession, which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 25. However, locals should be aware of road closures and restrictions due to the event.

Prince Edward County advises that the procession will start at 4:30 p.m. from Shire Hall Parkette, moving along Picton Main Street towards the Cenotaph until 5:30 p.m. The lighting of two spruce trees at Shire Hall at 4:30 p.m. will kick off the event before the procession heads to the Cenotaph for the main tree lighting.
