Marmora woman charged with assault, theft

On March 3, 2024, the Central Hastings detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call regarding an alleged theft and assault at an address in Marmora.

Following the incident, officers apprehended an individual wanted on outstanding warrants.

Cheryl Jackson, 63, from Marmora, faces charges of assault and theft under $5,000 as a result of the investigation.

Charges have not been proven in court.

Jackson was released with an undertaking to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 28, 2024.
