Four charged in Belleville drug bust

The Belleville Police Service seized quantities of cocaine, crystal meth and fentanyl during a recent drug bust at a local home, leading to the arrest of four people.

On Feb. 8, a drug trafficking investigation in Belleville led to the execution of a Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Marsh Drive.

Members of Project Renewal, along with the Belleville Police Emergency Response Unit and K9 Team, conducted the operation.

In a media release, police say officers discovered various illicit substances and items including 8.6 grams of cocaine, a loaded syringe containing crystal methamphetamine, 32.4 grams of fentanyl, a taser, and $105 Canadian dollars in cash.

Following the investigation, multiple individuals were arrested and charged with various offenses. The below charges have not been proven in court.

  • Brandon Sero, 39 years old, from Belleville, faces charges including possession of cocaine, crystal meth, and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of prohibited items and proceeds of crime under $5,000. Sero was held for bail.
  • Marie Miller, 45 years old, from Belleville, was charged with similar ofoffences, and was also held for bail.
  • Kristopher Lyford, 43 years old, from Belleville, faced charges including possession of cocaine, crystal meth, and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, along with a breach of probation charge. Lyford was released on an undertaking with a court date in March.
  • Dave Lyford, 65 years old, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine. Like Kristopher Lyford, Dave Lyford was released on an undertaking with a court date in March.
