Driver charged with impaired following single vehicle crash in Prince Edward County

A Kawartha Lakes resident is facing impaired driving charges after a vehicle went into a ditch in Prince Edward County.

Prince Edward County OPP say on Monday, Sept. 14 that officers responded to County Road 4 shortly before midnight on Thursday, Sept. 10, following a report of a single-vehicle collision.

Police say officers investigated at the scene before arresting the driver and transporting him to the local OPP detachment for further testing.

D’Andrej Jamal Felix, 25, of Pontypool, was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg.

Charges have not been proven in court.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton.

His driver’s licence was also suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
