Car vs. motorcycle collision on Belleville’s Millennium Drive results in charges

A two-vehicle collision in Belleville on Monday resulted in charges for a 24-year-old Brighton man.

In a media release, the Belleville Police Service states that on Monday, june 24, at about 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Millennium Drive.

Police say the collision “resulted in significant damage to the vehicles, but thankfully no injuries.”

The driver of the car, a 24-year-old male from Brighton, was charged with failing to have valid insurance under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and fail to yield from a private drive under the Highway Traffic Act.

He was issued a summons for a traffic court date in August.
