Belleville police lay impaired driving charge after traffic complaint

The Belleville Police Service recently charged a Shannonville resident with impaired driving.

On Feb. 16, at about 9:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver on Harmony Road.

Following a search, police located the vehicle at a business on North Front Street. Upon interaction with the driver, police believed the individual, identified as Mitchell Barlow, 26, of Shannonville, was impaired due to alcohol consumption. B

arlow was subsequently arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service.

After conducting an investigation, Barlow was charged with impaired driving and exceeding the legal alcohol limit. Charges have not been proven in court.

His vehicle was towed, and he was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court appearance in March.
