Belleville man suffers life-threatening injuries after home invasion, assault; police looking for suspects

Belleville police are looking for suspects after a home invasion and assault left a local man with life-threatening injuries, and another man with minor injuries.

Police state in a media release that on Monday, June 10, just after 2 a.m., officers and paramedics responded to a residence on Russell Street regarding a home invasion.

Police say unknown suspects forced their way into the residence and assaulted two people who were inside.

The first victim, a 59-year-old man from Belleville suffered minor injuries.

The second victim, a 61-year-old man from Belleville, was transported to Belleville General Hospital by paramedics and later transferred to Kingston General Hospital with life threatening injuries.
