Belleville man charged with allegedly sexually assaulting real estate agent during property viewing

The Belleville Police Service initiated an investigation on June 10, 2023, following a report alleging the sexual assault of an adult female.

Police investigation revealed that a male suspect had arranged a real estate viewing at a property in Belleville. During this visit, the man allegedly perpetrated the assault against the real estate agent.

In connection with the investigation, 38-year-old Nicholas Foster, a resident of Belleville, has been formally charged by Belleville police with one count of sexual assault.

This charge has not been proven in court.

The accused voluntarily surrendered to the Belleville Police Service on Dec. 13. Following his surrender, Foster was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in January 2024.
