Stirling Hog Fest 2024

Stirling’s Lions Club is hosting its historic Hog Fest this weekend. Events for families and friends are running throughout the weekend to celebrate Groundhog Day this year.

10 a.m.: Ice cream for breakfast at the Stirling Public Library
6 p.m.: Dave Bush and the River Valley Riders perform at the Stirling Lions Club

12 p.m.: Family skate at the Stirling Arena
1 p.m.: Cornhole tournament at the Stirling Lions Club, register with a friend before the slots fill up!

90’s DJ Dance Party at the Cardinal

As if! Bounce over to the Cardinal in Trenton this weekend to vibe to the classics of the 90s, featuring Briteny Spears, Ace of Base, R.E.M. and more. Pull out your 90s slang or talk to the hand, this is the place to be.

Bird Walk with Wild Birds Unlimited

Wild Birds Unlimited, a new bird feed and education store opening in Belleville this month, is hosting a bird-watching walk on Saturday morning. The guided walk will start at parking lot at 79 Herchimer Ave at 9:30 a.m. to follow the Shirley Langer Trail. Wrap up warmly, grab your binoculars and your friends for this all-ages excursion into the nature that surrounds us every day.

Ashwyn Singh’s Comedy Tour at The Smokin’ 116 Bistro

Ashwyn Singh is bringing the giggles to Belleville this weekend. The comedian is travelling around the country sharing jokes on what it’s like being a Canadian-educated, Indian immigrant in his show called “The Audacity Comedy Tour.” Singh has toured both Canada and India with his comedic styles, earning a spot on CBC’s “The Debaters.” Now he comes to Belleville Saturday night with doors opening at 7 p.m. and the show starting at 8 p.m. Arrive early to get the best seats in the house!

Saturday Fun with Jeanette at the Quinte West Public Library

Kids ages eight and up are invited to find their creativity and take over Quinte West Public Library’s active makers space on Saturday with children’s librarian Jeanette. Register beforehand to use the laser-art Glowforge to design a bookmark, or to use the 3D printer to create a working whistle.
